Boko Haram killed his two brothers and parents in October 2016 in the village where they lived near Abuja. Orphaned, his friends convinced him to go to Libya and organized the trip for him. When he arrived in Libya he realized that he had been sold, a militia kidnapped and tortured him to try to get money from him. He spent more than a year in a Tripoli detention center where he was tortured: electric shocks, beatings with sticks … he has marks on the wrists of the ropes with which his hands were tied. “(In the detention center) everyone was full of wounds, some were shot in the legs …”
